Sometimes things go "wrong" when I create a piece of art. Painter Bob Ross called these "happy accidents," and that's what happened here. As I applied metallic bronze paint to thin, antique, Japanese paper, the paint began to run and smear. Uh-oh. But no! I added more splatters and dots and just let it go. I love the effect! What I also like is the contrast between the upright, vertical lines creating a repeating pattern at the bottom of the piece and how they are completely opposite from the curving Japanese characters and the perfect roundness of the Enso circle.
