Late last year I learned a bit about indigo dyeing and this is one of the results. I combined dyed fabrics with a painted silver heart to make the picture here. The various blue colors excite me and the heart, well, it’s a heart — what can I say? We seem to be easing out of the pandemic at the moment, and worldwide we have learned the importance of love, friendship, and empathy. I’m surrounding myself with hearts these days, and this is just one. (I also offer a full-frame vertical version of this picture on this site.)
