My plan for the eclipse was to simply photograph the coastline below Fort Casey, capturing the change in colors and the shadows. Well, fog ruined that plan, so I turned to the Admiralty Head Lighthouse and began playing with various minimalistic composiitons. I liked two — this one and a slightly different, square version. I’m disappointed my original plan was unworkable, but there’s always something else, if we just turn around…
