Product Details

The Center for Disease Control has recommended the use of cloth face masks to help fight the spread of COVID-19.

This face mask is made from 100% polyester and includes two ear loops with adjustable grommets for a comfortable fit.

The printed area of the mask is approximately 7" wide by 5" tall.   This mask fits well on adult mens' faces without the grommets but, due to the adjustable grommets, can be worn snuggly by adult women, as well.

Please note - this is NOT a surgical grade mask. It is not intended for any medical or commercial uses, whatsoever. It is a simple, cloth mask designed for everyday use to cover your mouth when out in public. The mask should not be used in any medical or surgical setting.

We make no warranties that the mask prevents infections or the transmission of viruses or diseases.

Artist's Description

As artists, we are often seduced into acquiring more and more “supplies.” Whether it’s paint, papers, labels, old books to tear apart, etc., we think we can make cooler things if we just had more “stuff.”

So I wondered what could I create with just what I had at hand that day. I scrabbled through my bits of papers and found an old chopstick wrapper, a lot of old Japanese stamps, a variety of old book pages, some decorative papers, etc. A vintage Japanese book had covers that had come off and were torn, and one of them became the substrate for this collage. See the torn bit in the lower left?

I didn’t have to purchase anything new; I just made do with what I had around me. Quite satisfying!

About Carol Leigh

Carol Leigh

I'm a photographer, writer, educator based on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in photomontage work, combining photos I've taken of rust, walls, peeling paint, birds, postage stamps, trees, etc. into images that are completely new, different, and often weird. I also create physical collages, then find myself photographing parts of them to include in my photomontages. It's crazy, but it's fun! My career has encompassed writing guidebooks (primarily about where to photograph in California), newsletters (guides for photographers about where to photograph in the United States), leading photo workshops, and conducting online classes.
