Description

A cool, foggy, Pacific Northwest morning and the fishing vessel "Finn" is about to set out to sea. The little boat had just pulled away from the mooring dock when I took this photograph. I've purposely created grain and texture within the image to add to the overall weathered feel.

I like this very well. The monochromatic look is spot on for many Pacific Northwest mornings: Gray skies, gray water, subdued colors. While the fishing boat lies at anchor in calm waters, just beyond the jetty the open ocean brings all the challenges of the seas.
