Description
A friend gave me a big roll of very old Japanese paper from a screen. As I unrolled it, beautifully inked sections appeared and I photographed them and combined them and folded, spindled, and mutilated them to come up with this. It was a total surprise, and I love it. There seems to be so much despair and negativity in the news that I wanted something big and colorful and outrageous to counteract the darkness in my head. This makes me feel great!

I recently purchased this image for my own home. It's big (40" wide), and I had it printed on metal. Usually I recommend that buyers order pictures a bit larger than they think they should be, because pictures always seem to look smaller when we get them in person than we imagined them online. I followed my own advice, and for the first time, I wish I'd ordered it smaller! It overwhelms the space(s) I thought it might go, and so I ended up hanging it in my office, where it's perfect and where it makes me happy every time I see it. I was impressed with how the picture was packaged and mailed, how quickly I got it. I had heard that FAA's metal prints were spectacular, and this one certainly is. I would definitely order more on metal, if the image warrants. -- Carol Leigh
