Description
During my visit to Kyoto, I visited a number of shops that sold old, tattered books, specifically to get papers I could use in my photomontages. I photographed all the covers and combined a number of them here, to which I added some photos I took of metal locker tags. Other bits and pieces of paper show up in this piece, as well as ink stains and splotches. I like how I created a feeling of age, of soft paper, and mystery. The warm colors, too, are especially appealing to me.
