Description
Do you do this, too? Collect interesting little things you find as you walk along? It’s hard not to, which is why this little maple seed pod (also called helicopters and whirlybirds) managed to come home with me. I placed it on a piece of antique Japanese paper, added a few other bits, and called it done. A nice, soft, interesting photograph of a small treasure I found on the ground on Whidbey Island in Washington state. I’ve also got a full-frame vertical version of this same image available.

YES! Maybe it's a Pacific NW thing? but when I lived near you, I found myself discovering tiny bits of delight every day. YOU have captured nature and science -the organic and the linear in this amazing piece...thank you!
Carol Leigh replied:
Yes, it COULD be a Pacific Northwest thing, but I tend to discover/collect no matter where I live -- you probably do, too. It's a particularly lush environment here, however, so you may be right. Thank you (yet again) for your enthusiasm.
